We got this in today from a fiber buyer, she has given us permission to excerpt/quote both her letters... this made my jaw drop in incredulousness......

Dear Bill and Crystal

I have a quick story to share with you. I have been waiting for the arrival
of my spinning wheel and am a curious person by nature. So sitting here
with a great deal of fiber to spin has driven me to the brink of
desperation. My husband (David), is a tool man he has a little of
everything around the house so I focused in on his Makita pistol drill. Now
you may think that I am crazy, but here goes. I took a drop spindle and put
into the head of the drill and hooked my fiber to it and away I went. Since
it goes at many different speeds, I was able to fool around with my fiber
until I got the twist down. The drill has a forward and a reverse (great
for plying). I have been able to spin angora and camel down, just
beautifully. Now David does pout, due to the loss of his drill, but I can
assure you that this works wonderfully. Well, at least until Dave
commandeers his drill, or until my spinning wheel arrives!
Just thought you would get a kick out of this one!

Sincerely,
Salina

the second e-mail.....

Dear Bill and Crystal:

We are going to send you a picture to include in the information. Just so
that people don't think that you are kidding. By all means post this, I am
serious it really does work. A friend of mine who is an avid spinner (who
got a real kick out of this one) has an electric spinning wheel and watched
what I was doing and said that this is a great tool to have. In fact she is
on her way out to the shed to get her husbands pistol drill. All I can say
is that I use a Makita, the best in the west!
Don't laugh to much!

Sincerely,
Salina
I'll make the photo available via a weblink when we get it.......

Dear Bill and Crystal:

Well here it is, like I promised! The pistol drill spinning away. I
suppose that you have noted that the spinning fiber is the finest from
Copper Moose. Have fun with these. Oh by the way David took the pictures,
he thinks he is getting his drill back soon!

Sincerely,
Salina
