a batt approximately 22" long. The unique "Slicker-Licker" is
used on the lickerin drum. With smooth, straight teeth it provides more
gentle carding with virtually no fiber build up on the small drum. Includes

Model 405 "Finest" Fine Tooth Drum Carder - Full size
chain driven carder, produces a batt approximately 22" long. "Slicker-Licker" is

Model 205x2 Double Wide Fine Tooth Drum Carder - produces
a batt approx 14" wide and 22" long. Included brush attachment. Needs
to be at the edge of a work surface. Standard is 128 teeth/SI, also available
are 98 and coarse 72T/SI. Email or make note in cart. The less fine carders are
use for coarse wools or to make batts for felting. FREE set of clamps, and one
pound of fibers. The 205 and 205x2 can be motorized.

Motorized Carder Information and Kits for Existing Carder Owners
Kits for Series 400 Finest Carders (existing owners of carders)
are below information.
This
will cover all the chain drives: the regular "Finest", the "Finest-doublewide". Note:
the Petite cannot be motorized because it is a light duty machine and not constructed
to withstand the stresses imparted by the motor. For the 200 series, the frame is not tall enough to fit the motor. These carders are
made to the same high standards as the hand crank models.
Being an engineer, Otto Strauch designed these machines to be unique. They
are"high tech" drum carders featuring both variable speed AND reverse
functions. The "infinitely variable speed" feature (not just two
or three speed settings) is a wonder when working with fine fibers like
alpaca, merino and cashmere.
These carders use very high quality, durable, electronically
controlled motors that are made in the USA! These machines have been extensively
beta tested by some "heavy duty" fiber artists and all have raved
about the
design, workmanship and durability.
Yes, a 230 volt version is also
available to serve the international markets.

Model 300 Mad Batt'r Art Drum Carder - Produces an 8" x 22" batt.
4:1 Gear ratio provides easy cranking, includes brush attachment, knuckle-saving
batt-picker, a doffer/cleaner brush for the large drum and a cleaning
brush for the small drum, AND table clamps.
The carder has deeper and coarser (72 dpi) carding cloth on the large drum
to accommodate all the fun add-ins that make these art batts say "spin
me!"
Special bonus 16 ounces of fibers to start out, generally icicle and some
